Our Statements of Faith

GOD

We believe in One God, the creator and sustainer of all things, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, One God in three persons, infinite, unchangeable and Holy, whose purposes and providence govern all of His creation and who requires of all humanity to love Him supremely and to love others as themselves.

BIBLE

We believe God’s revelation of His own divine nature and intention toward His creation has been given to humanity in the Holy Scriptures, the Old and New Testaments, that the scriptures were written by divine inspiration under the special guidance of the Holy Spirit and that they are the primary standard by which religious teaching and human conduct are to be regulated and judged.

SIN

We believe that all humanity is born in sin with a nature that is at enmity with God.

JESUS

We believe in God’s only begotten son Jesus Christ, who is one in essence with the Father and through whom all things were made.  That He was born of the virgin Mary, uniting His divine nature with our human nature, and was tempted in every way such as we, yet without sin.  That He died on a cross in our place, that he was raised to life on the third day, and that the blood He shed stands before the throne of God as the exclusive means of forgiveness of sin and reconciliation with God.

THE CHURCH

We believe in the church that Jesus Christ established on the earth before returning to heaven. That the church is Christ’s body and that He alone is Head over it, and governs it through His chosen ministers under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.  That it is the duty of all believers to gather together for worship, spiritual growth, fellowship and prayer, observing the Lord’s day and the sacraments of Holy Communion and Baptism, and to take the good news of the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the ends of the Earth as Christ’s representatives, declaring the finished work of Christ on the cross, making disciples of all nations and baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe in the Holy Spirit, who is one in essence with the Father and the Son, who has been called alongside and dwells within every true believer as a guide and keeper, like a deposit guaranteeing redemption and salvation, who equips individual believers with gifts and talents to be used in the church, under His guidance and direction, for the blessing and benefit of the body of Christ.

PRAYER

We believe in the power of Prayer to unite the heart of the believer to the heart of God, representing his power and presence on the earth and establishing His Kingdom in our midst.  This church shall be called a House of Prayer.
